GWA Award Musings (From Graham Rice)

Does anyone else think it's crazy for websites, blogs, garden software, radio shows and TV shows to compete against each other for one GWA award? How can you compare a TV show with a blog? And what's the point of such a comparison?

And why are websites required to submit only 3-10 printed pages? Software is judged on its total experience and blogs judged on their whole year's output - as they should be.

Finally, why are blogs - so often created by individuals - treated as if they're run by corporations and require a $100 entry fee?

  Slightly baffled...

  Thoughts anyone?
