Consumer story ideas in 2010

Ryan--

If you talk/write about shrubs in containers, include some info on wintering over the shrubs. Some of mine have have continued happily for years after spending the winter in a cold, dark shed. Others have bombed out in early spring when they looked like they were going to be OK after being brought out.

In fact, winter care for shrubs, in ground or containers, would be helpful, especially if tailored to various zones.

Another possible topic: with all the new hydrangeas coming along, a story comparing the various cultivars would be useful. I'm starting to get confused with all the new intros!

And yet another topic: dwarf/small shrubs for small/city gardens. We love what flowering shrubs do for our gardens, but it would be great to have something focusing on ones that are truly sized for city gardeners.
