Re: Subscription fulfillment ethics

I've had delivery problems several times  (only once from a publisher) but 
each time it turned out to be a UPS problem, not  a problem caused by the 
company I'd ordered from. 

Sometimes, if the a delivery person can't find the address immediately, he or 
she will take the package back to the delivery station. There it languishes 
for weeks before being returned to the sender's mailroom, where, depending on 
the sender's system, the goods may be returned to stock without further 
effort at delivering. Meanwhile, you're sitting there thinking bad thoughts 
about the company you ordered from. If you charged the goods to a credit 
card, you will know when the credit comes through that the order was 
processed, even if you didn't get it, and can take whatever steps are 
necessary. In your case, where you had already paid for the journals, it's 
probably impossible to tell if, in fact, the journals were shipped and lost 
or if your request was simply ignored. Frustrating!

I, along with everyone else, would love to know what the name of the journal 
is! Maybe someone else has had some experience with them and could shed some 
light on the situation.
