Re: Chicken Feed Marigolds


Marigold petals -- that's one of the things Frank Perdue fed to his famous 
chickens to give them the healthy looking yellow skin color. It helped lead 
him to a healthy fortune! That and a good PR firm, among other things.

Also, the herb known as Mexican Tarragon is a type of marigold (Tagetes 
lucida) and is a pretty good substitute for true tarragon. Maybe all those 
petals helped flavor the chicken.
