Out of Focus
I was paging through the pile-up of glossy garden magazines this evening, and noticed that a great many photographs are not in focus. Most of these are shots over a distance - looking down garden beds and over the property. What has happened to depth of field? Is this an editorial decision, to purposefully use photos that are just a bit blurry? Or is this a byproduct of digital photography? Does this mean that slightly-out-of-focus slides, and the not-as-crisp-as-the-slides scans, are now acceptable?
Do these fuzzy photo bother anyone else?
cleaning my glasses,
