Since I publish in print I get queries and unsolicited manuscripts
frequently. This sounds like a reasonably well written one by a creative
thinker prepared to explore non-traditional avenues to start her career.
What kind of hoax could one really hope to pull off with this request?
I can see no reason, other than time, not to look at a piece she has
written. If you like it, see if you have a place for it. If not, turn it
down. Personally, I derive great satisfaction out of helping out a new
writer.
