Perennial Mistakes

I'm sure we have all planted a perennial or two that, for various 
reasons,  we would never, ever plant again. 

I'm interested in your insights regarding such plants.  What was the 
plant? What attracted you to it in the first place?  Then, what made you 
dislike it?  And what would you plant instead?
