Re: Perennial Mistakes


Hmm...maybe soil differences???

My polychroma is in mostly sandy, rocky, very well drained soil. Some of it 
has spread over to nicer sandy loam that is flatter topography and in more 
sun. Of course it likes it there better...it isn't a stupid plant...HA! I 
thought poorer soil and sun would keep it in bounds.

Nope, I can't get rid of it fast enough. It doesn't challenge other plants, 
it just comes up everywhere!

It just shows you one gardener's hate...I also HATE Virginia Creeper...is 
another gardener's love. I rip it out by the handfuls...but gosh darn they 
sell it at nearby garden centers. If I see anyone looking at it...I go over 
and try to convince them not to buy it!
