I visited Jardin aux Quatre Vents last year with Larry's group. 
Visiting this property has been a dream of mine since I first heard 
of it and saw the wonderfully whimsical sculptural pieces that are so 
much a part of Mr. Cabot's creation. We were fortunate to meet this 
gentleman during our visit when he approached our group to introduce 
his new book.

That's the toughest thing about going on trips....it took three 
columns for me to briefly gush about everything. Lots of material for
future articles.

Consider yourself lucky to be admitted to Mr. Cabot's garden. He has 
soured on visitors after several troublesome groups. Permission 
is granted to those he favours.

If anyone is considering going on horticultural adventures I highly 
recommend those organized and guided by Larry Hodgson. His professionalism 
and cool aplomb on the rare occasions when a problem surfaced was a 
an enjoyable experience.
