[GWL]: And now for something new

I've been noticing a decrease in perennial sales over the last couple
of years. Our policy as a nursery was to replant those that did not
sell by the end of the season. I found I was continually down-sizing
the number we potted up each spring, yet returning approximately the
same number to the ground each year.

Perennials = plants that return year after year. Doesn't it make
sense that gardeners in the surrounding community will eventually
exhaust the available room they have to grow these things? After 16
years in the business this became apparent. New varieties are
essential but I believe the market is still failing....at least in
this area. In our last few years of operation we observed a growing
hunger for annuals and plants suitable for container planting.

I've adjusted my writing to reflect that trend.
