[GWL]: Editors making writers look foolish

I don't know about other publications, but the timeline moves pretty
darn fast in the final stages of our production. We do not have the
luxury of days to chase down all of the writers for our stories to
seek approval for final edits. Yes, we contact them with questions
and request clarifications while editing, but final approval? Uh uh.

Writers looking foolish? We strive for accuracy and hopefully
mistakes don't happen if we're all on our toes. But just add that
possibility to the list of negatives associated with being a writer.
