Most of them are now around $200 to $250 and I might do four or five a year.
It is not a significant source of income. The odd one is at $150. I also do
some through Royal Botanical Gardens, where I'm on a speaker's roster, which
means, occasionally, I do a general gardening talk or gardening travelogue
for a financial group, a conference group or something like that. But last
year when I spoke to the volunteers organization at RBG, I basically did
that as a volunteer too, for just $50. If a talk requires more than an
hour's drive, I generally don't do it, though I might make an exception for
my mother's garden club or for a special event. -Yvonne
