Re: [GWL]: Looking for a book

I looked up the information on Alan Armitage's book.  The reviews on the book assert that the book is an outstanding and detailed book, but lacks in pictures. 

 

Ideally I'd like a book with as much wealth of information as Armitage's book, with the excellence of pictures that Botinca offers.

Depends on how technical you want your material.  I agree that you really can't beat Alan Armitage but an extremely comprehensive...and worldly view...of perennials was written by Jelitto and for a long while it was accepted as the international reference.  I think Timber Press has published it in the U.S.  And if you're computer literate Armitage also has a wealth of perennial information published on CD ROM..
