Re: [GWL]: Press list

       "A Journalist's Guide to the Internet," a site found at http://reporter.umd.edu/, will give you links to over 5,000 newspapers plus more information than you could possibly use. I think it's sponsored by the University of Maryland's School of Journalism.
       Refdesk.com's "Journalists' Tools"  at http://www.refdesk.com/jourtool.html would be another helpful site. Scroll down and you'll see lots of useful links.
       "The New York Times" reference site for the paper's own reporters is http://www.nytimes.com/library/tech/reference/cynavi.html. It's free to the public and, again, full of lots of useful data. Scroll through.
       I recommend every writer on the list bookmark the above addresses. I use them regularly.
       You might also get in touch with the GWAA, and ask them what they have.
       As for magazines, you'll find all you need in "Writer's Market." Your library should have a copy. I buy the new edition each year and find it invaluable. It includes literary agents (for the GWL member who inquired recently) as well as consumer and trade publications with up-to-date information on editors.
