RE: [GWL]: New Rant Expanded
Fran,
The replacement system for IPM for the homeowner is what is called Plant
Health Care System, developed by a company that sells microbes and other
soil amendments. They look at the total ecosystem around the plant attacked
by insects. Since 90% of the insect attacks occur on plants that were in
stress PRIOR to the insect arriving, then the logic is to deal with the
cause of stress to ultimately reduce or eliminate the insect problems. On
the other side, the goal is to give plants solid health care so they never
get stressed. See their magazine on their web site www.planthealthcare.com.
It is impressive and informative.

Dear Jeff,
I understand all the other points but what are you suggesting for the
home gardener rather than IPM?
