Be careful generalizing about Texas weather: It's such a huge state, there's 
a vast spread of zones.  I've been in northern Texas in January when it was 
-10 F, and in Dallas in August when it was near 100 in both temp and humidity.

PS: I believe Mark Twain said something to the effect that the devil owns 
both Hell and Texas, and chooses to live in Hell and rent out Texas.  
Edmonton was not mentioned.

PPS: MT also said, "First, God made idiots.  That was for practice.  Then He 
made school boards."

But I digress.  As usual.
