Region 1 meeting

Fellow garden writers, there¹s less than a month left to register for GWA¹s
Region 1 meeting:

The annual New England Grows/GWA Region 1 luncheon and meeting will be at
the New Boston Convention Center Wednesday, Feb, 1, 2006 from 12 to 3 p.m.
The Region 1 panel discussion promises to be outstanding. Our topic is
³Nature¹s Way: Writing and Speaking about Native Plants for Natural
Balance.² Our panelists include author William Cullina of the New England
Wild Flower Society; Tim Abbey of the Windsor, CT. Agricultural Experimental
Station, and Dale Hendricks of North Creek Nurseries, Oxford, PA. Bring your
thoughts and questions to this town-meeting style event.

NEGrows is a green industry exposition and educational conference.
Wednesday¹s NEGrows speakers include Robert Herman on green roofs for New
England, Allan Armitage on new herbaceous plants for New England, Joe Eck on
using garden structures, and Brian Minter, our engaging and generous
Vancouver host, on taking marketing risks and being outrageous at the garden
center. NEGrows will give
free admission to garden writers registered for GWA¹s Region 1 meeting.
Admission is good for all three days of the show.

All registrations must be submitted online by January 25, 2006. For a
complete meeting program and to register online please visit:
http://www.gardenwriters.org/Meetings/Region1.html. Your registration will
be acknowledged by an email from GWA Headquarters and you will receive the
³Priority Code² to use for FREE NE Grows registration.

I hope to see you there,
Penny O¹Sullivan, GWA regional director
