Re: beech question
Hey gang!
What you have found thus far is on the right track... the tree is much
better known in Europe, and England, than here in the U.S. In fact, a tree of
decent size will take your breath away in price. *If you can find one*.
Quite an exclusive item in the landscaper realm. Usually reserved for the
upper crust or institutions with grants. I am not there to see the actual
landscape, but seems to me, if I grows well in England it may take some
moisture above the norm (in general). The cultivar is smaller growing than
the norm. But I did not chime in for I have not grown the tree and did not
want to take the time to do the research and make calls to come up with
known information as opposed to guesswork on the tree's needs.
If you are changing the existing plans and eliminating a hedge as
prominent as one with copper beech, then I would suppose you will be
completely redesigning the landscape?
