Well Saxon, I guess I could weigh in here...I do have a small balcony garden
here in Panama where I have growing rosemary, Russelia equisetiformis
(firecracket plant) bougainvillea, and Allamanda plus the most adorable mini
bamboo.  Inside we have many orchids.

Elsewhere, there are many plants with blooms on them :)

As a side note, because we do not have a garden now (in a condo) we are
re-doing the social area.  There are 8 large planting beds which need new
plants and some tlc...

As to my growing zone? Haven't a clue.  31C during the day and 26C at
night...every day.

There sure are some clever responses to my query and if I am to believe 
all the responses there are no gardeners in zone 8,9, or 10 on this 
list.  Or maybe they are all out gardening while the rest of you are 
ice fishing :->  Oops gotta run and pick my last roses before I have to 
cut them back ...
