Re: New Year's Day Plant count
Hi,
I'm in Zone 8 where a hard frost tonight is about to do in everything that
isn't covered and maybe some things that are. I was feeling unkind by
listing everything in bloom--all hardy annuals are in bloom right now, plus
the oxalis that substitute for grass all around the house. I have to pick
the last of the kumquats this afternoon--they are more than ripe enough to
preserve--it's a question of time and inclination whether I will go to the
trouble.
Meanwhile, I know that more northern people have a hard time commiserating
with Zone 8 people when they moan about cold weather, so I think I'll forgo
the temptation to whine.
