Ohio Garden Visit suggestions needed...!
Hi Sandie,
I can recommend the Heritage Garden at the governor's house in Columbus (http://www.governorsresidence.ohio.gov/home.aspx), which are open to group tours. They showcase native plants from all regions of Ohio, including prairie, bog, and sand dune gardens, plus the regular perennials. (See http://gardenfaerie.blogspot.com/2007/10/photo-catch-up-columbus.html for photos.)
Franklin Park Conservatory is not far down the road, and it's definitely worth the trip.
On June 28, the German Village Society of Columbus is hosting its annual home and garden tour, which I've enjoyed.
The grounds at OSU are pretty nice, too.
And if you go to Cleveland, do not, under any circumstances, miss Holden Arboretum!
Hope this helps,
Monica Milla
