Duane's post brings up an interesting point. We often see posts here requesting information that, at best, would be second-hand coming from list members (who are theoretically writers themselves, looking for the same information). Posts like Doreen's would be better placed on industry websites where the people with first-hand information are likely to be. 

I understand that we have industry members in GWL and on the list, but they are a select few who, truth be told, are here to tell THEIR stories.

It's a bit like the disturbing (at least to me) trend in radio and tv news of getting the story from other journalists, not primary sources. The great bulk of interviews I'm seeing these days are with people who are not directly involved in the events of the day.
