Florida Gardens

    My husband and I are taking a driving trip to Florida in February 
(eager to get out of the unusually cold Virginia winter).  We're making 
the rounds of friends who have retired to the state, and will be 
stopping in Tampa, Sarasota, Naples, Boca Raton, Palm Beach, and 
Orlando.  I've googled the public gardens, and found some that sound 
excellent.  Does anyone know of good private gardens that homeowners 
might be willing to share with me for photographing and possible stories? 
    I know it's a big deal to allow a complete stranger into your 
garden, and I really appreciate that hospitality and trust.  To give my 
credentials, I've written 9 garden books, many of which feature my own 
photographs, I write articles about gardens and usually provide my own 
photos, and I respond to requests from editors for photos.  Currently my 
photo data base has about 30,000 garden photos, including plant 
portraits and garden scenes.
