Re: GWA awards
Some great ideas, Saxon. They will definitely be conveyed to the board after we've been through the judging process and see how everything works out -- and we know what additional issues/ideas we will have to remedy or suggest.
I can clarify two issues that came up earlier:
1. If you enter a blog, it's fine to send just the URLs of the three entries you want judged. (NOT just the URL of the main blog or site.) Blogs will be judged online. (It's helpful for us to have printouts in hand, though, so those are very welcome with your entry form, along with the URLs.)
2. Podcasts would be entered in the radio category, which will be expanded next year to include that designation.
Also, someone mentioned the the Mouse and Trowel awards -- they've been discontinued because they were too time-consuming. (Denise Cowie, last year's chair, did talk with her about her recommendations before we set up our awards.)
It seemed important to make sure we had electronic and blogging categories in this year's awards, so we went ahead, and obviously we will need to keep thinking through the details and get it better. So glad to hear your suggestions.
Best,
Judy Lowe
