Re: lawns and global warming
And, perhaps more to the point, Judy, what about golf courses? Why are we
wasting so much water and all that mowing, dethatching, weed and pest
control etc on such huge areas of managed grass used by so few people for
occasional recreation? Apart, of course, from the fact that the legislators
at federal, state and local level are mostly golfers!
Sorry, but all that water, from all those spectacularly inefficient
sprinklers - it just makes me so mad!
