I agree. I prefer to turn to my trusted, and known, print sources before
turning to the Internet. I use the Internet solely as a confirmation
tool or to augment my other findings.
There's also the fact that this is the way the system is intended to work.
I reward authors who inspire, challenge, or teach me by buying their books.
Oftentimes I don't *need* a print copy, but I want to do my part to
perpetuate the industry and encourage the authoring of more books.
What I've started to do (and it's a mammoth undertaking) is to create files
of different genera and species. Anytime that I come across an interesting
Web page, magazine article, book reference, etc. I print it out/photocopy
it and file it away... It's proven to be incredibly useful at times.

Ahhh, here I'd have to disagree with you. With my wireless network at
home I can take my laptop out with me in the garden, across the street,
on the front porch, or yes, even to bed, and still be on the Internet.
There's nothing quite like the warm glow of an LCD screen, and it's a
really special treat in the winter when the battery pack warms your lap.
