Re: Back page?

Though I have rarely and reluctantly written for magazines, I find myself
now with an offbeat humorous piece that I think would work for a back page
type article for fall. Problem. I don't know what magazines are using that
kind of material now, and I probably won't be at any largish newsstand for a

while. Any suggestions?

Most (but not mine) local libraries have the magazines, so you could try
there, and the large bookstores also have the magazines, plus chairs and coffee
so that you can peruse at leisure. Not knowing what you are writing makes it
tough to suggest a source though.

The major magazines though fall into two sorts: those that deal with
specific plants and horticultural topics and those that deal with pretty pictures of
folk's gardens.
