Re: India

Dr. Parmar,
I meant no disrespect. It has often been said that the US is the only
country where a person can be considered educated who speaks only one language.
Your English surpasses my Spanish, the only other tongue in which I can claim
any proficiency.
However, I remain dubious about outsourcing writing in English to distant
lands. We've all dealt with outsourced tech support; we've all struggled with
technical manuals that were obviously written by someone to whom English is a
distant second language.

Dear JF, Margaret and other list members,

I am not good at English like the present day Indian young boys and girls.
I studied in a Hindi medium school unlike my children and grand children.
English was just one of the subjects for us and it started from Class V. I
have been using English in my profession and that is how I have learnt this
language. I can just manage.
