This is the key to deciding about the renumeration for everything we do, I think:
"The upside of that paper was that I had a picture and a by-line. Small
notoriety brought in a few other jobs. I rationalized that they were paying me to advertise myself at excellent rates."
What are the returns for this job? Good pay? Publicity for a book or other project? Helping a nonprofit that we believe in?
It doesn't have to be money, but there should be a good reward.
