Re: japanese beetles...your help


Zip Code 07848 -- I didn't make a note of it, but I think the JBs started
about three weeks ago. It has been very, very hot and dry here this year.
Even though areas slightly to the north and south of us have gotten
showers, we didn't. JBs seem to be spending most of their time "getting
it on" in the rose blossoms. Not much damage to foliage. I've sprayed
with an organic, mostly to no avail. My plan had been to put a trap in
the woods away from the garden, hoping to attract them elsewhere, but I
haven't gotten to it.

I have used milky spore, but it doesn't seem to do much -- probably
because the neighbors have them, too and attract them with traps in
adjacent yards.
