I'm currently the US East coast Sales Manager for Heritage Perennials (Canada's largest perennial nursery). I agree with Jane - business as usual. The problem lies with the individual stores or with weather patterns not with the political climate. There's no more or no less border "issues" than previous years although the waits at the border can be longer for drivers.

There are production issues with some crops this year with the northeast climate (cool and damp) and some supply is restricted.

Sounds like the manager is blowing a little smoke atchya. :-)
