Make a Trough

Back in March I gave a demo of a quick way to make small garden troughs at
the Philadelphia Flower Show, along with a detailed how-to handout. After
getting several requests for permission to reprint my handout, I put all the
information on my website. If any of you want to look at the directions
yourselves, or refer your readers to the directions on my website, the
location is:

http://mackeybooks.com/gpage10.html

The directions are for using a pre-packaged sand or mortar concrete mix
(usually costs about $4 for 25 pounds of mix) to make a small trough. This
is NOT hypertufa. I'm offering a very bare-bones way to make small concrete
objects for the garden. I developed the directions from my own experience,
and they are copyrighted.

Other parts of the website include my list of books for sale, including
"Creating and Planting Garden Troughs," by Joyce Fingerut and Rex Murfitt,
and some garden hints for the season.

My site can handle a lot of hits -- hope I get some new ones.

Here in the soaking wet Mid-Atlantic region, the plants in troughs seem to
be standing up to the weather very well.
