I'm about 80 miles northwest of Chicago, where we had even more
snow....about 75 inches. My Yellow KnockOut and Double Red died. The
original Red KnockOut and Pink KnockOut came through OK, but they are in a
bed sheltered by the house.
I think the problem was, despite thick insulating snow cover, that the
January thaw that spawned flooding and tornadoes, disrupted dormancy. Just
a theory.
