Re: question about KnockOut roses and overwintering


Carolyn,

I have five Knock-Out (original) Red roses scattered throughout the 
garden; some sheltered, some not.  All five survived the winter -- but 
just barely.  And though each is currently blooming, not a single one is 
taller than 12 inches.  The Knock-Out Double Red never made it at all.   
The yellow Simplicity Roses and some rugosas, on the other hand, are 
pure eye-candy!
