Re: How to refer to trademarked plant names?


I understand this, but I see trademarked and registered names being put in
quotes all the time by publications because they do not want to use the
symbols for some reason (Heard a number of reasons - makes it to messy).

For instance, Black Lace? Sambucus - I always saw it being put in single
quotes. Like I stated this is not our preference, but I know some
publications will not allow the use of trademarked or registered symbols -
which I don't understand because as you stated the ? or ® name should not be
put in quotes, but we understand that it happens.
