Re: Garden pests and control


The idea is to trap the animals humanely as opposed to leg  traps. The Pa. 
Game commission doesn't allow relocation of animals such as  ground hogs. 
Only certain animals are relocated such as bears. In fact most  animals won't 
survive a relocation because their home is gone, they need to find  food 
quickly and of course predators.
The option is to drown them or shoot them so that they die  a quick death 
instead of them starving or being poisoned. I have had groundhogs  shot, not 
in a cage but on my property because of the extensive damage they have  
done. Everything else I leave alone. The deer do not do as much damage as the  
ground hogs.
I don't mean to sound cruel because I do love animals but  there is a 
breaking point.
