Re: school curriculums tc

You could try Veggie U - they integrate a 4th grade program with Ohio
schools and they have developed a full science component for that group of kids.

Also Arden Bucklin-Sporer and Rachel Kathleen Pringle are very involved
with San Francisco Green Schoolyard Alliance (I can find the emails if you
need them) and wrote How to Grow A School Garden - a Complete Guide for
Parents and Teachers.
I have had both these on the radio show and I am sure they will help you or
point you to someone who can help.

Friends,
I've volunteered again. This time I am working with a charter school to
develop a rooftop edible garden in Downtown Boise. We've been accepted as
part of Alice Water's Edible Schoolyard Project and also rec'd a very small
NASA grant for science.
One of the pieces here is the curriculum. Now,I don't have to do that, but,
for those of you who have experience with that kind of thing, can you
recommend some books for the children/parents/teachers?
Many thanks,
Mary Ann
