Check out all of Sharon Lovejoy's writings. Sharon's passion is parent/grandparent/children gardening and she's done a ton of work with teachers, etc. She's a gem and incredibly knowledgeable. Look at her books, her website, talk to her.
Sounds like a great project. Why NASA?
