RE: A Stupid Question

Yes, I've used that but you have to first place some kind of symbol where
you want to keep paragraph symbols such as at the end of the paragraph.
Then you do your search and replace to get rid of the extraneious paragraph
symbols and then you must do another search and replace to get back the
paragraph returns you want. It works, but there should be an easier way.

Hi Jeff, you've probably tried this already, but I've always found the
easiest way to get rid of any unwanted items in word was to use the
"replace" command in Edit - if you can copy the item/character then you can
replace it with blank - if its a hidden character that's another issue..

Subject: [GWL]: A Stupid Question

I have a stupid question that if answered should come to me off list. For
ten years I have had this question and never asked anyone about it. Duh.
The problem is what to do with those paragraph symbols at the end of every
line of certain e-mail messages. When I want to copy the text to a
Microsoft Word file, those paragraph symbols or carriage returns come right
along. Is there a simple way to remove them instead of having to delete
each one, one at a time? Thanks.
Dumb Jeff
