Paragraph Marks
First of all, are handy because all of Word's formatting is based on a paragraph - they help me determine where the formatting changes when I need to work with
several styles at once.
To turn them off go to the Tools menu, Options and in the middle of the box on the left you'll see "Non-printing Characters", make sure all boxes are unchecked
and they should just dissappear. Do the Ok click thingie and dance the rest of the day away!
