Re: Ready for drugs

Most of our nurseries in Southern California carry one or more products that 
will kill oxalis--a very prevalent and aggressive weed which we all have in 
the garden from time to time.

Cha-Kem-Ko--Chacon, had the best one but I can't find it anywhere anymore. 
I'm using one called Oxalis-X, made by National Chelating in Orange, CA, and 
it's better than nothing. It can be used, according to the label, in a 
dichondra lawn without killing the dichondra. I would reserve judgement on 
that, but I do use it on my lawn, and in flower beds, judiciously, trying not 
to get it on anything other than the oxalis.

And yes, you do have to repeat and repeat, since the stuff reseeds itself 
like mad, and the seeds "pop" and go everywhere. I have to use it every year 
in the lawn, and have had to use it recently in a ground cover--worked on the 
oxalis and didn't hurt the ground cover.

But it is a chemical, and for folks who don't like chemicals it's a baddy.
