Re: Thanks and internet involvement with magazines

Thank you to so many of you who took the time to reply to my questions about
the book contract. I have decided to request a fee ($50) for each photograph
and a small token fee ($250) for the writing. The contract already states
that I will be given credit for all the works I supply. I understand that
these fees might not be acceptable but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Good for you Melanie! One thought -- I suggest you and your friend decide exactly how you will be given credit for your work -- will it be acknowledgement in the introduction or your name alongside photos or your name at teh top of your chapter or???? If you spell everything out, you will eliminate surprise disappointments and misunderstandings... And this is the stage at which that needs to be done.
