I am, of course, assuming that the people on THIS list would respect copyrights and not spread such a posted article around, AND that the person doing the posting would label the article as such (from xxx newspaper, March x, 2003, or whatever).

  If you want to post about stories from newspapers, please just copy the story and post that directly.  The sites for lots of these big newspapers have at least two serious pitfalls.  One is that you have to join to be able to go in and read the article.  That leads to spam.  The other is that you'll be buried in cookies from the site.  I set my web browser to allow me to reject cookies and the first time I went to the NY Times site, even WITHOUT joining, I fielded over two dozen cookies that would have given me tons more spam.  If I want to do that, I'll go to Mrs. Fields'.  
  Spare the spam and help the list.
