library services
No one picked up the thread of using libraries, and I'm wondering why. Are
library services so good, so poor, that no comment is necessary? So unknown
or irrelevant? Do garden writers use libraries? Or know what they offer? What
are your experiences?
I admit I hadn't used my public library until recently, when I was pleasantly
surprised by the remote access to online databases. I used the library
occasionally to borrow books in the past, and will need to do so more in the
future since the gems in the Mass. Hort. Society's library were sold to the
Chicago Botanic Garden, and I can't afford to buy every book that interests
me, even from discount houses.
