Just received a release from Blooms of Bressingham (by Stephanie Cohen and Christine Kelleher) that begins, "Instant gratification -- we all want it, even in the garden....(just ask) the Sacramento family who received a dramatic garden makeover at their historic home in a single day."
These fast-replay TV "yard makeovers" may be the source of the wanting "a" garden, not "to" garden. I've heard these yard makeovers last an average of 6 months. People don't know how to care for the plants, neglect watering, etc. It would be doing customers a huge favor to tell them how to care for these planted containers when they get them home, even though most won't follow instructions. They lose the plants, then hate gardening. Sigh. Margaret Lauterbach
