Re: Garden lectures


Margaret, just a quick suggestion here. I'm still at the point where I can't
afford to turn down lectures.

At any given time you can find three to five slide carousels fully loaded in
my file cabinet. The script/handout for these programs is on my computer
plus a hard copy is stored in my projector case. I just read off the
selection of programs to the caller. If they still can't make up their mind
I'll make the decision for them based on the level of garden expertise of
the audience.

Beginners to intermediates might get "lesser known perennials for Long
Island gardens". For experts I try to push a program called "Foliage, it's
not just a pretty face". This is the hardest program for me to push and yet
the oohs and aahs when the slides are shown tell me how much the audience
loves it.
