FYI.  The Gardener's Companion from the Old Farmer's Almanac is no more.  A
new gardening annual from Old Farmer's Almanac (Yankee Publishing) will be
published in 2005.  It will bear the Old Farmer name, not the Gardener's
Companion. Beyond that, nothing is set in stone.  The annual will be a
different format, too.  Pages will be 8-1/2 X 11 inches and in full color.
Georgia Orcutt, who was the GC editor for over a dozen years, is gone, too.
Yankee Publishing Editorial Director Janice Stillman is overseeing the new
annual.

As a personal note, I'm sad to see the change as I've written for GC for a
decade.  I've seen it go from an annual to a monthly newsletter plus an
annual to four times a year to two times a year......and now demise.
