Peter:
I understand. In my experience as a garden designer in northern Virginia, I
have clients say "native plants" all the time when they mean no maintenance.
The older folks are sick of the maintenance, the droughts of late, blah, blah,
blah. The younger folks seem scared of making costly errors.

It seems there is something else, though. I have noticed an upsurge in talk
about terrariums, which is where many of us started 35+ years ago. Houseplants,
tropicals, dahlias, mums and our first stab at growing vegetables. I wonder
if the cycle has turned, back to start, with variations, of course.

People don't have really basic information. There is so much out there they
have trouble wading through the hype to the real info. We all could help there.

Thanks, Peter, for all you do and for your books. I love them.
Donna
