Re: gardenwriters Digest, Vol 62, Issue 21
Hi all,
I'm no tax expert, but this does not sound right to me. You cannot
deduct the cost of your time or services as a charitable deduction
(IRS pub 526), and it seems to me that you couldn't donate your fee
back to the organization without declaring that cash received (even
for a few minutes) as income. If your deductions are limited by
whatever arcane IRS rules affect you, you'd lose out. But ask your
own qualified advisors.
