Re: metal containers


I've used old metal colanders, saucepans, cut flower cans and the like (with 
holes punched) for plants - but only those that are going in shade. I had 
thought that they would be broad enough so that the roots would be ok, but 
in sun, the plant roots cooked. But I'm in Georgia, where it can be 90 
degrees before noon some years. Your mileage may vary.
